Hadrian's Wall Estate Sign PostThe National Trust and Local Farmers working together.

Hadrian’s Wall Beef and Lamb comes from National Trust tenanted farms within the World Heritage Site and its setting.

The landscape of the whole area has outstanding international value for its archaeology, geography and wildlife.
The management of this landscape is largely dependent on the sympathetic farming practices which help maintain this area of outstanding beauty and by enjoying this lamb and beef you are directly helping to support these farms.

The National Trust’s vision for farming for the 21st century is for an industry which is valued and respected for it’s stewardship of our countryside. All our farms work under the National Trust’s Whole Farm Plan which encourages sustainable, environmentally friendly farming.

The flavour of the meat is a reflection of the wide variety of pasture on which these animals graze and their slower growth rates.
